"Since 1933, we have been constructing
and renovating commercial, industrial and institutional facilities
for some of the most reputable, established firms and organizations.
Let us share our pride with you, and we will help you build your
project into a reality."
H. C. "Hap" Hoy, 1923-1997
To look back on the history of Hoy Construction is to discover
a rich heritage of constructing yesterday's dreams and shaping the
future of Hampton Roads businesses. Hoy Construction was founded
in 1933 as a general contracting firm that established close relationships
with clients, subcontractors and suppliers. We became known throughout
the area for constructing buildings with hammers, nails, pride,
honesty and fairness. Most of our projects came from personal referrals
and repeat customers. As a result, Hoy grew from a handful of projects
to a large and varied selection of projects today that would be
the pride of many larger firms.
What began as a family operation is now an employee-owned contracting
firm that has continued to build upon Hoy's legacy of progress.
We have maintained our position in the region because of one thing:
teamwork. Each and every member of our Hoy team works together closely
to accomplish a common goal. Through sound management and fair practices,
we continue to deliver the finest in craftsmanship performed within
the agreed cost and time period. Many clients find that consulting
with us during the initial stages of their planning process can
mean considerable savings of time and money and total satisfaction
upon their projects'completion.
Today, we operate on an open-book policy; our records are open
for your review at any time. We solicit multiple bids per trade
(i.e., masonry, roofing, flooring, etc.) in order to ensure that
you receive the most cost competitive job pricing. By coupling our
dependable services with our history of achievement and fairness,
we can offer uncommonly good construction and renovation services.
Let us share our pride with you and help make your dream project
a reality.
